News:
Ok, maybe not.

Sorry for the further delay of Lumen 1.06. I got caught up with another project I've been planning to do for a while now. It's almost done, at least for the most part. I'll announce it when it's ready (it has nothing to with art/comics).

I'll finish up Lumen 1.06 as soon as I can.
Lumen 1.06 is on the way

Yup, got somewhat settled at our new place, just a few more boxes to organize. Hurrah! And so, I'm motivated to continue on with my Lumen story. Hurrah yet again? The next page should be up by the end of the weekend. Slowly but surely ...
Site update
07/14/2008 18:41:58
As you can see, I change the layout again. I also made some coding updates on different modules. Commenting on artworks/comics no longer require a login account, though using the Podcast client still do.

There are still some bugs I need to iron out ... and some to find, so I apologize for the PHP error/warning messages that may pop up.
Took a while ...

Got Lumen 1.05 finally done. I don't know if you've noticed, but the site has been buggy lately. That's due to, of course, ME! I've been messing with the code trying out new modules and such. So if you notice a bunch of error messages, then let me know, or wait a while and I'll probably run into them.

Onward ...
Still learning
04/29/2008 22:08:25
Page 4 of Lumen is now up. As you can see, I've been trying out different layout sizes. I'm still trying to find one I like. Hmm, less might indeed be more.
Lumen continues

Got Lumen page 3 uploaded. Time to start on page 4 ... hurrah!

I listen to the podcasts of two shows that air in L.A. radio. I tried many different clients and sadly they are either slow, buggy, badly designed, or a combination of those. I figured, why not make a PHP client? Well thanks to google's awesome audio streamer, I was able to. I have done some initial testing with other podcast/RSS feeds, fixed some issues, and got it working well enough. How does it work? Simple, you add a subscription, click the episode you want to listen/visit, and enjoy. It will keep track of what you have already played/visited, thus the need for a login. It's still on its initial stages so if you put in a subscription and it does not work, please let me know the address of the feed so I can make SanityPodcastClient more universal.

I just uploaded the second page of my Lumen series. This style takes too long for my taste, I'll simplify things even more next time so that I can make a page quicker. So for now, sorry for the crappy-ish look. Just chalk that up to the learning process.

The next generation

Got a text message from Susan this morning. Elise Rei Park, Susan and Andy's 2nd kiddie, was born the night before. Much congratulations to the growing family. Cheers to the next generation!

On another note, Lumen 1.02 is on schedule and will be ready before the end of this coming weekend. Tomorrow is a holiday so it will probably be done even before the weekend starts.

I just uploaded the first page of the comic series I've been wanting to make. I'll try to make one page per week, or 2 weeks for some. Hope you like it.

Answer the following question correctly:
A typical motorcycle has how many tires?

no, too lazy to learn enough code to add it in.
by: f on 2008-11-04 23:40:39
Ok, mmm, fair enough. I changed the question to clarify what answer it's looking for.
by: as on 2008-10-29 06:19:37
Actually there is more than 1 way to simplify 3+4-1-1+1 so my answer was just another method , but still correct

both A turtle & A tortoise have A hard shell

Benefits? None per se. It's a service for micro-blogging. It's handier for 'status' updates and 'mini-rants' than standard blog mechanisms (i.e. wordpress). It's designed for easy access from any network and/or SMS capable device (especially mobiles). Actually, it kind of functions like your comment section. You could easily write a plug-in module that takes in the twitter feed from your account and display the messages here. I actually have the recent 'tweets' on my homepage via a Wordpress plug-in.

Not me. What are the benefits?

Anyone here besides me and Tom on twitter?

12 months from now. I got back from UCCSC 2008 @ UCSB a few hours ago.
by: ocabj on 2008-07-22 21:18:48
Cool, when is that?
by: as on 2008-07-22 10:11:40
I just found out today that UCCSC 2009 will be at UC Davis.

Thanks, everyone for meeting up with us at Little Tokyo. It was fun. We should really plan out a time when you guys can come up here.
by: as on 2008-07-21 10:14:08
Yo. Posting this while sitting in front of you in the restaurant.
by: ocabj on 2008-07-18 21:47:26
Haha, yeah I know, but the layout changes motivates me to add content.
by: as on 2008-07-17 10:14:53
More drawing! Less layout changes! :)
